Hi, I’m David Dwyer, your Liberal candidate for Perth.

My wife Anne and I have three adult children. After graduating from UWA with a Commerce degree I went on to a career as an accountant working with businesses on St Georges Terrace. I have also owned and operated my own business, so I understand the challenges facing Perth businesses, but also what they need to succeed and get ahead.

I’m a keen sportsman and love spending time outdoors with my family. I will fight to improve and maintain our public open spaces, parks and waterways – especially the Swan River – so local families can enjoy the natural environment.

As part of Scott Morrison’s Liberal team, I will fight for:

• Local jobs and better opportunities for small businesses to succeed;
• Lower and fairer taxes so that local families can keep more of what they earn; and
• More support for our community groups and sporting clubs to give them the resources they need to keep up with Perth’s growing and diverse community.

I will be out and about in Perth meeting with small businesses, community groups and families to hear about the issues that matter most to you.
